John Jones - Senior Minister

John has served as Senior Minister at West Hills since July, 2020.  His primary responsibilities are preaching and teaching, providing pastoral care, and leading the West Hills Ministry Team.  He is a graduate of Emmanuel Christian Seminary (M.Div., 2020), The University of Kansas (Ph.D., 1999, M.A., 1996), Harding School of Theology (M.A., 1998), and Southeast Missouri State University.  He also serves as an adjunct Speech professor at Milligan University.  When he is not working with the church, John’s hobbies include reading, movies, St. Louis Cardinals baseball, and Kansas basketball.  

Amy Mullins - Children’s Minister

Amy wanted to teach children as far back as she can remember.  She thought it would be as a kindergarten teacher through the school system, but God had a different plan, a perfect plan in place for her life.  In 2008,  Amy came on staff as the Children’s Ministry Director at West Hills.  God has given her a passion for working with children.  She loves serving alongside many volunteers who also want to help children discover a love for God and His Word.  

Amy and her husband Mike were married in 1999.  They have two boys- Dylan and Connor.  Amy wants her boys, as well as all children here at West Hills, to grow up knowing that God has a perfect plan for their lives!  Amy enjoys attending her boys’ sporting events, crafting, going to yard sales with Mike, and watching UNC basketball – Go Heels! 

Dani Harris - Worship Minister

My name is Dani Harris. I am originally from Sevier County, TN.  I accepted the Lord as my Savior at the age of 9 and grew up in church my whole life. At the age of 11,  I received my first guitar and began traveling with my family, singing and playing guitar while sharing the good news of Christ.  I went on to play and sing in various youth worship teams.  I then led the worship team at Campus House at ETSU for about 3 years. I am so blessed to have received the calling to lead the worship team here at West Hills since February of 2017.  This church has truly been a blessing to me, and I look forward to what the Lord has in store for the future of West Hills Christian Church. 

Stephen Collins - Young Adult Minister 

Stephen joined the West Hills staff in November 2020. He grew up in West Virginia but has called Tennessee home for the past 10 years. He is a graduate of Johnson University in Knoxville (BA in Bible & Preaching and Church Leadership, 2015), and Emmanuel Christian Seminary in Johnson City (MDiv in Christian Ministries, 2020). In addition to serving at West Hills, Stephen is a Chaplain at Christian Assisted Living in Johnson City. He is passionate about teaching, preaching, and showing the Gospel’s power and relevance for our lives today. His hobbies include, but are not limited to: movies, books, and collecting vinyl records. Cherry Ngwa - Youth Minister 

Cherry joined the team back in September of 2022. Cherry came to the US from Burma (Myanmar) to study for a Master's in Divinity degree with a concentration in Christian Care and Counseling at Emmanuel Christian Seminary in 2018. She graduated last April and decided to pursue her calling as a youth leader at West Hills. In addition to serving at West Hills, Cherry is also a chaplain resident at Johnson City Medical Center. Her great passion is assisting people in their journey of exploration of the authentic self that God originally created.
